Join us for contemporary worship on the first Sunday of each month at 9:45AM at Houston Memorial from October through April. It's the spirit and vibe of WOW but indoors through the cold winter months. Here are the dates:
October 7, 2018
November 4, 2018
December 2, 2018
January 6, 2019
February 3, 2019
March 3, 2019
April 7, 2019
But that's not all! Having WOW this summer also has shown us that we need a time to gather and talk with coffee and friends and food. Beginning September 9th we will begin a new gathering and coffee time in the Parish Hall at 10:30AM. It's called "...And Coffee". Come join us for friends ...And Coffee!
Contemporary worship: First Sundays at 9:45AM
...And Coffee: Weekly at 10:30AM
Traditional worship: Weekly at 11AM
See you there!
What to Expect
Our contemporary service offers a relaxed, acoustic worship experience. We gather at 9:45AM on the first Sunday of each month from October to April.
What About Kids?
We love kids! Whether you're young in age or young at heart, you're welcome to worship in the way that moves you -- literally! We have bubbles, streamers, and other worship aids for everyone who wants them. We don't mind at all if people move around during the service. Everyone needs to get their wiggles out sometimes.
What About Parking?
The main campus is located at 4886 County Road 63, near the Houston Volunteer Fire Station, Chef Troy's Talk of the Town Restaurant, and the Houston Post Office. Parking is ample and easy, and includes designated handicap spaces near the entrance.
What About Inclement Weather?
Our church's policy is that if there is a tornado warning for the Houston area during a regular service (including Worship on the Water, the traditional service, the contemporary service, or Bible study) or special event church is automatically canceled. Severe Thunderstorm warnings would likely cancel a WOW service, but not necessarily anything held indoors. All weather announcements are handled on the HMUMC Facebook page and (as appropriate) the WOW Facebook page.
